skinhead is a fashion
oh I’m aware. but most people aren’t familiar with anything beyond the racists. and with all the Nazis running around, it’s probably best to point out any anti-racist skin wearing a Fred Perry polo and yell “they’re safe!”

Solo acoustic outing from Steve Fuck (aka Chuck Fuck aka Chuck Fuck-head) of Blood Noize, pitting an abrasive demeanor against some beautifully amateurized guitar work and occasional emotional depth. Pulls from Xpressway like it pulls from the darker and weirder moments of 80′s Columbus basement DIY. You can probably get the record at Lost Weekend if you’re in that part of the country, otherwise I’ve no clue.
No bandcamp for the newer material, aside from his work with Blood Noize. You can grab some of his older solo stuff for free HERE.

Excellent tip. Her dad is Terrie Ex? Wow!
Yep. She’s was also 17 when she made the album, recording the entire record in her bedroom over the course of a summer.

That Lena Hessels record is phenomenal, had never heard about it before reading this list. Lots of creative but minimal instrumentation backing every song. Really compelling vocals, lyricism.
No bandcamp, but it’s streaming on all the usual sites. Recommended.

“Footage from Cari Padu, a participatory performance art created by Rully Shabara, which invites the public to form a spontaneous improvised choir. The public chose any sound that they wanted voiced, without knowing what sounds others were going to make.“
Apart from the recent critically acclaimed Senyawa LP, Rully Shabara also has a new project under the alias Setabuhan. He released an album called “Tabuh Langit Tanduk Jawara” on the Yes No Wave label, which is free to download below:
